Windows Computers
The PSTC has approximately 50 Dell workstations. The computers are all new Pentium 4 processors with at least 1 GB of memory and flat panel monitors. Each student work space and faculty or staff office is eqipped with it's own computer. The PSTC also has a computer lab with five computers available for use by any member of the PSTC community.Unix Servers
There are 3 main UNIX servers maintained by PSTC for general use, jupiter, sunsrv1 and sunsrv2. These servers are built by Sun Microsystems, a company specializing in providing high-end UNIX solutions. The three machines all run on Solaris, Sun's version of UNIX, and are equiped with several processors and disk drives for heavy-duty computing.
The three machines serve the needs of affiliated PSTC researchers located throughout the campus.Windows Servers
The PSTC has a Windows 2003 Server that stores facutly, staff, and student files. The server monitors printer usage and is backed up nightly.Printers
There are five HP LaserJet 4300 laser printers in the Cabinet Building. There is one HP Color LaserJet 4600 color laser printer and one large format HP Design Jet 500 for printing posters.
